South Plains College to offer youth theatre classes

 

LEVELLAND – South Plains College announces Youth Acting Classes for youngsters ages 7 to 15. The class will meet on Tuesdays beginning Oct. 1 through the Dec. 10 showcase. 

The classes will meet from 6 to 7 p.m.. in the Creative Arts building. The cost is $150 registration fee plus a $10 costume fee. A minimum of six students is required for the class to make. The limit is 12 students. 

An introduction to the world of theatre and performing through interactive games and creative play. Participants will learn the basics of acting and put on a performance where each person plays an important part. 

Students also will learn the basics of theatre including acting, auditioning, body and voice, imagination, script, characterization, and performing. Weekly acting classes with a final showcase performance.
