South Plains College Wind Ensemble to perform Thursday

 

LEVELLAND – The SPC Wind Ensemble will be present a Fall Concert at 7 p.m.. Thursday (Nov. 21) in the Jones Theater.  

The performance is free of charge and the public is invited to attend. 

Featured selections include works by Caesar Giovannini, Frank Erickson, Ryan Fraley, Johan de Meij, Frank Ticheli, and John Philip Sousa. Most of the works on the program involve the idea of presenting stories through music. Tales and literary works referenced include traditional Cajun folk songs, Tolkien’s “The Lord of the Rings,” Stevenson’s “A Child’s Garden of Verses” and The Washington Post.
