SPC Reese Center to host Tin-Man Robot Competition on May 3

 

REESE CENTER – South Plains College Reese Center will host the SPC Robotics Class Tin-Man 2019 Robot Battle at 6:30 p.m.. in Building 6. 

The event is free, and the public is welcome to attend. 

The Tin-Man Robot Competition features teams from the SPC Levelland campus, the SPC Reese Center campus and the SPC Plainview campus. High School teams from Lazbuddie ISD, Littlefield ISD, New Home ISD, Post ISD and returning champion team from New Deal ISD. 

The annual battle pits teams that will fight to the death during the preliminary rounds. Time outs are allowed for students to make repairs throughout the competition.  

The Tin-Man champion will be determined by a panel of judges.
