SPC to unveil Tell Campbell Way on May 2
LEVELLAND – The late James Tell Campbell of Levelland will be recognized at 9 a.m. on May 2 during the unveiling of Tell Campbell Way at the entrance to South Plains College’s Levelland campus. Friends, family and members of the community are invited to attend the street sign unveiling.
The SPC Street Sign Naming is an item donated by the SPC Board of Regents that was featured in the live auction during the college’s 27th annual Scholarship Gala on Feb. 21. Patrick and Annette Sykora with Smith Auto Family won the naming rights to the sign until next year’s Gala and chose to honor their son-in-law.
Campbell, an alumnus of SPC and Texas Tech University, was the fixed operations director at Smith Auto Family in Levelland. He attended Hillside Christian Church and volunteered at many community organizations.
