South Plains College enrollment increases in Spring 2025

LEVELLAND – South Plains College’s total enrollment in Spring 2025 increased by 6.8 percent from last spring.

On a daily comparison, Spring 2025 enrollment is at 9,771, while Spring 2024 enrollment reached 9,149.

The number of dual-credit students enrolled at SPC also increased from last spring. Current dual-credit enrollment is at 4,389, while Spring 2024 dual-credit enrollment reached 3,769 (a 16.4-percent increase). Dual enrollment allows high school students to earn transferable college credits, which could reduce the time needed to earn a college degree.

“We are extremely pleased with the growth of our enrollment,” SPC President Robin Satterwhite said. “While most of our growth is in dual credit students, this is an increasingly important segment of our student body, and we are proud to serve schools throughout our region. This is just another example of how SPC improves the lives of our students.”
