SPC will host quilting orientation class on Aug. 26

 

LEVELLAND – South Plains College will host an orientation class for all of its quilting courses at 5:30 p.m.. on Aug. 26 (Monday) in Room 121 of the Technical Arts building. The course is provided by the SPC Division of Continuing Education and Workforce Development. 

The instructor will be Vickey Vest. The cost is $55 per class. 

During the orientation class, patrons will receive a list of supplies. The quilting classes are designed for all levels of experience from beginners to advance. Participants will need a sewing machine, ruler, rotary mat and rotary cutter are a few of the items for the classes. There will be five different quilting classes offered in fall 2019. 

“These classes will be lots of fun and full of quilting tips and tricks,” said Vest. 

The start date of the classes will be announced during the orientation class.
