SPC instructors to perform Dec. 9-10 at National Ranching Heritage Center
LEVELLAND – Two South Plains College Commercial Music instructors will participate in the 44th Annual Candlelight at the Ranch at the National Ranching Heritage Center in Lubbock. The event is set from 6:30 to 9 p.m.. Friday and Saturday (Dec. 9-10).
The duo, John Reid, professor of Commercial Music, and Phillip Smith, instructor in Commercial Music, are playing with Susan Brumfield, professor of music at Texas Tech University. They will accompany the West Texas Children’s Chorus who will be singing Cowboy Christmas tunes.
Admission is free and does not require a ticket, however, a $5 donation is encouraged.
Holiday scenes will be recreated in 15 historic structures such as the 1838 El Capote Log Cabin, 1886 XIT Ranch headquarters, 1888 Matador Half-Dugout and 1909 Queen-Anne style Barton House. Visitors will have maps pointing the way to each structure.
