SPC to accept summer LVN applications until Feb. 12
LEVELLAND – The application deadline for South Plains College’s summer vocational nursing program in Levelland is noon on Feb. 12.
To apply for the program, which starts May 19, prospective students can follow the steps listed on the vocational nursing page on the SPC website.
Applicants must complete all requirements for admission at SPC, be TSIA2 compliant, have a GPA of 2.0 or higher and pass the Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS). No pre-requisite courses are required for the program.
Those interested in the program must complete the application on the SPC website and attach their passing TEAS scores. The application and required documents must be turned in by the deadline.
All accepted candidates must attend the General Session at 10 a.m. on April 3 and Camp DNR from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on May 6. If candidates do not attend these events, they will forfeit their position in the class.
“We are excited to offer this summer opportunity for students to become nurses more quickly,” Jennifer Steffey, vocational nursing program coordinator at SPC, said. “With this summer LVN program, we are meeting the healthcare needs of the local community by preparing more nurses.”
