South Plains College students to crown Homecoming King and Queen

 

LEVELLAND – South Plains College Student Life will announce the Homecoming King and Queen during halftime of the Texans/Odessa College basketball game on Thursday (March 1) in the Texan Dome. 

The nominees for Homecoming King are: 

Adan Rubio is a print journalism major from Lubbock, nominated by The Plainsman Press; Taylor Davis is a general studies major from Amarillo, nominated by Catholic Student Ministry; Pete Guajardo is a commercial music major from Lubbock, nominated by Student Government Association; D’antae Johnson is a radio/film/television major from Arlington, nominated by Southwest; Kris Cancino is a welding major from Sundown, nominated by Women's Complex; Jacob Rosales is a pre-veterinarian major from Abernathy, nominated by Baptist Student Ministry; and Tyler Gutierrez is a commercial music major from Milford, Del., nominated by South Plains Songwriters. 

The nominees for Homecoming Queen are: 

Danae Race is a computer science major from Levelland, nominated by Baptist Student Ministry; Sophia Barnett is a computer science major from Midland, nominated by Women's Complex; Ashlee Graves is a general studies major from Post, nominated by Student Government Association; Maribel Burciaga is a general studies major from Denver City, nominated by Catholic Student Ministries; Jada "Shay" Taylor is an education major from Lubbock, nominated by Smallwood; and Autumn Bippert is a photojournalism major from Georgetown, nominated by The Plainsman Press.
