South Plains College enrollment increases in Spring 2024
LEVELLAND – South Plains College’s total Spring 2024 enrollment increased by 10.4 percent from last spring.
On a daily comparison, Spring 2024 enrollment is at 9,149, while Spring 2023 enrollment reached 8,288.
The number of dual credit students enrolled at SPC also increased from last spring. Current dual credit enrollment is at 3,769, while Spring 2023 dual credit enrollment reached 2,609 (a 44.5 percent increase). Dual enrollment allows high school students to earn transferrable college credits, which could reduce the time needed to earn a college degree.
“We are delighted with the growth we are experiencing at South Plains College,” SPC President Dr. Robin Satterwhite said. “While our student demographics are shifting due to new legislation, we are excited about continually improving each student’s life, regardless of their position in their educational journey. This is very positive for the College as we enter a new year.”
