SPC partners with ed2go to expand workforce training, reskilling opportunities

LEVELLAND – South Plains College launched a strategic partnership with ed2go, a leading provider of adult online education and part of Cengage Group, to expand online training opportunities across in-demand industries. SPC will offer affordable online courses through the agreement.
Working with ed2go highlights SPC’s commitment to providing affordable online education enabling students to gain in-demand employability skills. Prospective students can visit https://careertraining.southplainscollege.edu/ to view online courses available at SPC.

“This partnership is a natural fit,” Dr. Ben Alexander, SPC executive director of workforce development, said. “We understand the value of career training in today’s ever-changing job market and the need to provide flexible options for learners to quickly and effectively upskill or reskill to expand their employment opportunities. ed2go has a proven background that will help us meet the learning needs of the communities we serve.”
Dr. Alexander said students who access ed2go courses through SPC are exposed to the entire catalog of academic courses offered in the college’s Technical, Health Sciences and Arts & Sciences degree fields.

ed2go partners with many academic institutions to provide innovative, relevant courses that align with job market demand and cover various industries, such as project management, medical billing and IT. Programs range from career and certification training to personal and professional development courses focusing on teaching transferable and in-demand skills.
