South Plains College seeks nominations for 2019 Distinguished Alumni honor

 

LEVELLAND – Nominations are open for the selection of the 2019 South Plains College Distinguished Alumni honor. The SPC Office of Development and Alumni Relations is accepting nominations through Feb. 22. The honoree(s) will be recognized at the annual Employee Recognition Banquet and at the 61st Annual Commencement Ceremonies on the Levelland campus. 

“It is very exciting to recognize our outstanding former students,” said Stephanie Smith, alumni coordinator at SPC. “We have numerous alumni walking many different life paths, and we want to recognize their outstanding accomplishments since their time at SPC in a special way. This is the highest honor the college presents to former students.” 

Smith said nominations are open to all former students of SPC who have made noteworthy accomplishments in their professional careers and in their communities. Past recipients of the honor include pharmacists, educators, philanthropists and medical professionals, to name a few. The honor is not limited to any specific field or profession.
