South Plains College slates Constitution Day event on Sept. 29
LEVELLAND – The Social Sciences Department at South Plains College will celebrate Constitution Day from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.. on Sept. 29 (Friday) in the Sundown Room.
There is no admission charge and the public is invited to attend.
The topic is the freedom of the press provision of the First Amendment and “fake news.”
Tim Holland of Government will host and moderate the event with panelists Sharon Bogener, professor of History at SPC; David Williams, News Director at KCBD; and Matt Dotray, Political Reporter at the Avalanche Journal. Drew Landry, assistant professor of Government, will serve as the timekeeper and monitor social media accounts.
