South Plains College earns 2023 Medallion Marketing Awards
LEVELLAND – South Plains College’s Marketing and Communications staff members recently earned six 2023 Medallion Awards at the National Council for Marketing and Public Relations District 4 Conference held Oct. 11–13 in Colorado Springs, Colo.
South Plains College won the Gold Medallion Award for its Poster (single or series); a Silver Award for Computer-Generated Illustration of Terrible Tex; a Silver Award for its Successful Recruitment or Marketing Program entry “SPC is Here Marketing Campaign”; a Silver Award for Successful Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Marketing for “SPC Orientation Family Guidebook”; a Silver Award for Logo Design for “SPC is Here”; and a Bronze Award for Computer-Generated Illustration of Terrible Tex is Ready for Mardi Gras.
The district Medallion Awards recognize outstanding achievement in two-year college marketing and public relations.
“It is always an honor to be recognized for your work,” said Dane Dewbre, executive director of marketing and communications. “I'm proud of the marketing and communications staff and for the creativity and effort they all put into these projects.”
Members of the SPC Marketing and Communications staff are Dewbre; Nathan Boyd, visual communications specialist; Jessica Rodriguez, administrative assistant to the executive director of marketing and communications; Adrian Mellberg, digital communication specialist; Chris Nazario, visual communications specialist; and Myrna Whitehead, coordinator of news and information.
