Reese Center to Host Blood Drive Feb. 8

The United Blood Services of Lubbock hopes for a good turn out at South Plains College’s Reese Center campus for a blood drive.

The drive will be held from 1 p.m. to 4:30 pm on Feb. 8.  A United Blood Services Coach will be located in the Building One parking lot. 

To be a donor, one must be at least 17 years old, weigh at least 110 pounds, and feel healthy.  Some concerns also include if you’ve had a major illness within the last 12 months, tested positive for hepatitis, are taking prescription medications or have received an immunization, traveled outside the United States in the past three years, had a tattoo, body piercing, or accidental needle stick within the last 12 months.

Requirements and restrictions will be discussed with blood donor personnel and may not disqualify you.
