Europeans Demand Change by Revolution

 Giovanni Rosendo, associate editor

The violence has since spread to Germany, Belgium and Athens.  In Athens, for example, there were about 70 youths who “laid siege” to the French Institute with clubs, showing support for the youth of France.

It’s reported that the riots began after the deaths of two French youths.  How is this possible?  It’s not.  The deaths were merely a catalyst.

In the 1990s, the French are remembered for mocking Americans for the riots in Los Angeles, Calif.  It’s called karma, my fellow readers.

If the French weren’t so biased when considering their welfare system, there wouldn’t be so many people being pushed into such poor living conditions, or slums, as they are frequently called.  This is apparently where all of these riots are taking place.

It’s reported that the Muslims are the unfortunates who are rebelling against the French system.  Quite frankly it’s not surprising.  No one is free if there are still people who are oppressed.

What did they expect?  If you get immigrants and put them in the slums, where there is disease, crime, and poverty, people can only be treated unpleasantly for so long before they get tired of it.

These people have seen the darker days and lived the lives that the French left for them.  They went in search of a new, better life in a “sophisticated” land of art and culture, but instead they received the scraps of those living the highlife.

What will happen when the people in America experience those days?  Oh wait, they already are.

Just because people are poor doesn’t mean that they aren’t aware of how badly they are getting used and abused.  Plus, how long are they expected to stay silent?

The government, no matter which one, places these immigrants among the “bad seeds of society.”  Those who have been to jail countess times, sell drugs and, have no recognition of authority, are neighbors for these people.

Anyone who thinks that they put themselves in that kind of situation is uneducated and needs to stop and smell the corruption.

There are 10-year-olds getting arrested for rebelling.  Where do you think they learned this type of behavior?  I’ll tell you right now, it’s not television, and don’t even try to think of that sorry excuse for a copout.  This is all learned through society, with people everyday.

Why is nothing being done?  And by being done, I don’t mean the police arresting these “delinquents” and “ruffians” to get the streets back the way they were.  What good would that do?

I know it’s a bit late now, but what about the crazy idea of thinking before you act?

If there is an evident problem in certain areas, why not put a stop to it?

Yes, I know that the government - I don’t care which one, because they’re all around for the same thing - does not have ESP and what have you, but is it not their responsibility to remedy the situations, even if they are already taking place?

Why should it take various displays of destruction for them to realize that something is wrong?

I understand that there are acts of violence and they must be punished, but it seems as though that’s as far as the government will go.

They are focusing so much on the battles that they just may lose the war.
