BMA. Vice President of Academic Affairs
- The Vice President for Academic Affairs is the chief instructional officer for the college. The Vice President coordinates the specific functions of the Dean of Arts and Sciences, Dean of Health Occupations, Dean of Technical Education and at the Dean of Continuing and Distance Education. The Director of Libraries also reports to the Vice President for Academic Affairs.
- The Vice President for Academic Affairs works closely with the Vice President for Administrative Affairs and Finance and the Instructional Deans in the assembly of the annual instructional budget.
- The Vice President for Academic Affairs is instrumental in the interpretation of policy and procedural matters and assists other administrators in communicating them to the faculty and staff.
- The Vice President for Academic Affairs approves all college publications such as catalogs, bulletins, brochures, calendars, etc., relating to academics although responsibility for specific work on them will be delegated to other offices as appropriate.
- The Vice President for Academic Affairs will serve as liaison officer from the college to area schools, certain groups and agencies, as well as individuals.
- The Vice President for Academic Affairs assists in the administration of the evaluation program for South Plains College faculty and staff.
- The Vice President for Academic Affairs shall serve as a permanent member of the Executive Council, Administrative Council, Academic Council, Instructional Deans Council and other committees as appropriate.
- The Vice President for Academic Affairs shall authorize and supervise the data, information and reports which are generated through institutional research.
- The Vice President for Academic Affairs shall perform other duties as assigned by the President.
