If you’re looking for a program that allows you to explore the mysteries of living organisms and understand their evolution, then you’ve come to the right place. Our student-oriented faculty help students identify, clarify, and achieve their dreams of being biologists, doctors, physician assistants, game wardens, nurses, pharmacists, and teachers. The Biology department offers courses that fufill requirements for a variety of programs that will transfer to the university of your choice. Upon completion of your course of study, you will earn the Associate of Science degree, and be well-prepared to succeed as you transfer to a four-year institution to complete a bachelor's degree in the field of biology.

The Science Building on the Levelland campus will be undergoing extensive renovations beginning in February of 2020. Generous support for this project has created an opportunity to build an innovative student center and renovate existing spaces to meet the needs of our growing student body. These improvements will increase Anatomy & Physiology and Microbiology offerings, two of our most in demand courses. Other areas being renovated include chemistry, physics, geology, and biology labs, and a new botany lab, greenhouse, and garden space. This project has completed the planning stages, and a ground breaking ceremony is coming soon. With your support, we will create a science department to support students through the next 60 years, and beyond.
