Conflict of Interest Disclosure
Local Government Code Chapter 176 requires the disclosure of certain relationships
with local government officials and provides public access to certain information
related to these relationships. In general, the statute requires a local government
official to file a conflict disclosure statement with respect to a vendor doing business
with the government entity if the local government official has a business, employment
or family relationship with the vendor. Additionally, a vendor must file a completed
conflict of interest questionnaire if the vendor has a business, employment or family
relationship with a local government official.
In compliance with Section 176.009, South Plains College provides online access to
the statements and questionnaires required to be filed under Chapter 176. These documents
