DHF. Bereavement Leave

Absence necessitated by death in an employee's immediate family shall entitle the employee to leave with pay for the time required to attend the funeral and necessary travel time. The President must approve time requiring more than 3 working days. Immediate family is defined, for the purpose of Bereavement Leave, as spouse, mother, father, sister, brother, children, grandchildren, grandparents, mother or father in law, and sister or brother-in-law. Relatives of former spouses are not considered immediate family members.
